On December 20 at 13:00 at the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel, the "Gaming Business Association of Georgia" will hold a press conference regarding the termination of sponsorship of Georgian sports.

At the press conference, they discuss the expected legal regulations and the need to optimize costs arising from these regulations. The approval of the bill as presented will make it impossible for gambling companies to further invest in sports, which, of course, will have a negative impact on the development of sports in Georgia.

With the new draft law, against the backdrop of increased taxes, sponsored advertising funding will no longer be a marketing or financially justified expense for companies. Therefore, under the conditions of approval of the announced legislative restrictions, the gaming business sector will have to refuse to sponsor sports.

In addition to the representative of the Gaming Business Association, Georgian athletes will take part in the panel discussion, who will talk about the importance of the sponsorship activities of gambling companies. On the investments made for the development of Georgian sports in recent years, which contributed to the development and advancement of local championships and athletes.
